The constant theme of religion versus relationship replayed in my mind for three days over the 2010 Friday, Saturday and Sunday services at the Rock as I witnessed the Lord's hand on others. The obstacle of legalism both for Christians and non-Christians is apparent and real.

I can't remember taking a single breath in my life not knowing Jesus. As a child I grew up learning about Him through going to church or hearingmy Nana pray aloud to Him. Dear Alisha,

Your first year away at college and there is time now for me to reflect on both your being here, and not. A week after we dropped you off at your dorm, mom and I joked about replacing you with a Doberman puppy. The puppy is now six months old, and you've been away from us for half a year. It is quite clear, and always has been, that he could never replace you.
